Last year, the U.S. federal government, through an OSHA Emergency Temporary Standard, mandated that businesses with 100 or more employees require their employees either to become vaccinated against COVID-19 or to submit to regular weekly testing for COVID-19. The government also mandated that certain federal contractors and subcontractors require vaccination for all their employees, with limited exceptions. GXO, which is a leading provider of contract logistics services with more than 20,000 employees in the U.S. across hundreds of sites, has always made employee safety and well‑being a top priority, so we had already taken significant steps to guard against COVID‑19 well before the mandates were announced.
